What happened: |
On the 1st video you can hear the roof been washed and see the broken tiles flying off the roof
On the 2nd video you can see the man sent his colleague to pick up some of the debris, so they evidently knew they broken many tiles.
I paid them because at the time I did not knew what was going on,
obviously I do not climb on my roof, in the evening as I closed my curtains I noticed tiles debris on my extension roof, so I looked on my CCTV and here were my broken roof tiles.
They totally denied they broke the tiles.
I found them on Checkatrade who guarantee the work of the traders they advertised, they claimed I probably done the damages myself, so obviously climbing on my roof at 74 years old I was at the time!
Following 2 polite texts (for no reply) to refund or fix, they complainted about me to the police accusing me of harassment. I started getting texts from somebody who claimed to be a police officer,
I then phoned the police to report I was getting threats and was told it was the police texting me, so they took the word of a man seriously instead of an elderly pensioner. I complained to the police who never apologised
for the distress caused but sent me a letter saying it was a civil matter!
Because the damages were very excessive I got really frighten for the possibility of leaks inside my property, so I had my roof totally redone at a very high cost. Yes I am still very upset!
